Soon: The Art of Lace | From Chanel to Iris van Herpen
16 November 2019 till 10 May 2020
The international Haute Couture exhibition ‘The Art of Lace’ sheds new light on contemporary practices of mechanically made lace by fashion designers. Mechanically made lace, based on handmade lace, combines tradition and innovation. Because of its endless possibilities in colour, texture and motifs, the material is a huge inspiration for fashion designers. In the exhibition you will be surrounded by a selection of the most extraordinary, contemporary haute couture pieces from famous fashion houses such as Chanel, Maison Margiela, Jean Paul Gaultier, Louis Vuitton and Iris van Herpen.
