The machine
The inkjet printer (Stork Jade) is specially developed for printing on fabrics. Instead of dyes it ink cartridges. You can choose between two types of ink, reactive or acid ink, depending on the material to be printed.
The design
The designs will be digitally delivered or will be digitalised on site.
The material
The museum has various fabrics of different qualities available for fabric printing, from cotton and silk to Jersey. All of the fabrics are chemically treated so that the ink will attach better to the fabric after it’s fixated. Because of the fixation the colours are waterproof.
