'TRADITION & CRAFTSMANSHIP' Guided tour

'FELTING' Workshop
Making wool into felt is one of the oldest textile techniques. The technique is still popular, also among professional designers such as Claudy Jongstra. Learn the principles of this technique. You make an attractive creation applying soapy water, heat and friction to different-coloured, carded wool.
Workshops and programmes in consultation
For vocational training, single and several-day programmes can be compiled and arranged with the specialist design, textile and product development departments.
The renovated library also has workplaces where students can examine and study materials (raw materials, semi-manufactured and end products) from the Textielwarenkast and draw inspiration from the (historical) pattern books from the Stalenkamer.
