European Textile Trainees Pilot 2008
Talented designers will be given the opportunity to follow a trainee programme, including the use of the available facilities of the participating textile institutes. The essence of a trainee programme is that it offers a course of working and learning.
Per working period a part of the time is devoted to mastering the materials and production techniques. At the same time the trainees are expected to avail themselves of the opportunity to work on design projects related to the theme Home and the other.
The international character of this trainee programme will enable the participants to undergo a considerable development in the field of textile and design within a short period.

First working period
September 2, 3 and 4; Trainees Kick off in the Netherlands Week 37, 38, 39, 40 and 41, three groups of three trainees are working in Finland, Norway or The Netherlands.
Second working period
Week 42, 43, 44, 45, 46 an 47, nine trainees are going to Italy to work together with the Como textile Industry.
A publication of the European Textile Trainee Project will be available at the beginning of 2009.
