The TextielCafé is located on the ground floor of the entrance building of the TextielMuseum. It is an excellent place to enjoy a drink and/or lunch.
The floor features Norwegian slate. With designer tables and chairs, the café is a natural extension of the style of the building. The TextielCafé also features a number of designs especially created for the TextielMuseum that showcase textile materials and techniques.
During the opening hours of the museum the TextielCafé is open. The outdoor terrace in the front is open when the weather is good.
Bertjan Pot designed a set of striking couches for the cafe with colourful textile cords spanning steel frames. The couches mark the entrance to the cafe area. In the upper atrium is a special, festive design by Wieki Somers. This cheery object is made of textiles and produced in the TextielLab with an engraving/laser and embroidery technique.
