Various small-scale creative companies are based in the textile ateliers surrounding the TextielMuseum. Unique designs in limited editions are made and displayed here and are also available for purchase. It’s worth stopping off here during a visit to the museum.
Vincentius handweaving workshop is part of ASVZ, an organisation that provides care and facilities for people with a disability. Participants carry out tasks at the TextielMuseum ranging from weaving to embroidery, felting, sewing and making seams. Some also work in the TextielLaundry of the museum as well as in the finishing department.
Special products are available for purchase including: dishcloths, tea towels, placemats, boas, garlands, lavender pouches, bags and scarves.
Visitors are welcome from Monday to Friday between 13.00 and 15.00 to have a look or purchase a gift.
