On Wednesday 7 July the 'Yearbook 2009 - Highlights from the TextielLab' was presented to the public. TextielLab is the workplace and experimental lab of Audax Textile Museum Tilburg. Here, designers, artists and students work together with the product developers of the Lab to create new, original and exciting textiles. TextileLab has become a major textile factory with a growing international appeal. It was time for an overview of some of the projects which were conducted in the lab. This overview, 'Yearbook 2009 - Highlights from the TextielLab', is presented for the first time.
Central in the yearbook are some of the most innovative and leading projects from 2009 and all the people who cooperated with these projects. The reader gets an idea of the search for ideal solutions for the realization of the designs. The publication includes many images of the processes and end products. The English-language yearbook has the format of a magazine. Each copy has an original piece of damask by design duo Scholten & Baijings.
The book is available in the Textile Shop for € 14.95. A few designer shops in the Netherlands also sell the book. A number of works described in the book can be seen until September 26 2010 at the Platform in the Textile Museum.
