Museumcafe 'Bij Mommers'

The museum café ‘Bij Mommers’ is on the ground floor of the Textielmuseum’s entrance building.

The floor is surfaced with Norwegian slate. Together with the industrial design table and chairs, the café matches the style of the building.
The museum café also has designs specially made for the Textielmuseum, using textile materials and techniques.
Bert Jan Pot designed eye-catching benches with steel frames that are wrapped with criss-cross colourful textile cords. The benches mark out the café area. In the large empty space there is a special, festive design by Wieki Somers. This frivolous object is made of textile materials and realised with engraving/laser and embroidery techniques in the TextileLab.

In short, ‘Bij Mommers’ is a delightful place to enjoy a drink and/or a light lunch.
